Welcome to FireCAT

FireCAT (Firefox Catalog of Auditing exTensions) is a mindmap collection of the most efficient and useful Firefox extensions oriented application security auditing and assessment. FireCAT is not a replacement of other security utilities and software as well as fuzzers, proxies and application vulnerabilities scanners.

The Principle

FireCAT is a map collection aimed to reference the best extensions for Open Source browser Firefox. The so-called extensions have been short listed on the basis of fundamental criteria: they should help to perform Security Assessment or Ethical Hacking.

In order to take advantage of all these add-ons and make it easy to understand and read, we divided it into categories and sub-categories.

The current release 2.0 contains average of 90 extensions divided into 7 categories and 19 sub-categories.

Fun about the name "FireCAT": The map collection was inspired from the Cat Stevens' "Teaser and the Firecat" album. In fact, FireCAT was created during a foggy Sunday of year 2007.
